Discovery Robotics is seeking a Finance Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial matters including accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, taxation, payroll and benefits, inventory, credits and collections, investments, insurance, banking relationships, and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • MBA preferred, minimum BA degree in accounting, economics, or business

Software Development Engineer- Path Planning/Navigation

Discovery Robotics is seeking a seasoned software engineer with expertise in path planning and navigation.  The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of modern navigation and path planning techniques and algorithms with particular experience in graph traversal algorithms.  At least two years of practical software engineering experience with C++ in a Linux environment including experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) and its navigation stack is required.  A BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics or related field as well as practical experience with robotic or automation platforms is expected.

Software Development Engineer- Localization

Discovery Robotics is seeking a seasoned software engineer with expertise in robot localization processes.  The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of modern navigation and localization techniques and algorithms with particular experience filtering (Kalman/Particle) and sensor fusion of Lidars, IMU’s, encoders, and 2D/3D cameras.  At least two years of practical software engineering experience with C++ in a Linux environment including experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) and its navigation stack is required. A BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics or related field as well as practical experience with robotic or automation platforms is expected.  Experience with computer vision/Open CV would be a plus.

Testing Assistant

Assist in testing the Discovery Robotics’ FX250 floor care system. The testing assistant will transport the FX250 unit to various operating locations, plan the testing profile, operate the robotic unit, observe system operation, record test observations and document results.  In the event of any anomalous conditions, the assistant will do limited faulted diagnosis and troubleshooting. Testing may occur during the day or evening, depending on the test location. Attention to detail is essential, familiarity with any type of mechanical, cleaning or robotic system would be helpful but not required. Driver’s license is required. 

Discovery Robotics is seeking a digitally-focused, strategic, organized, and customer-focused candidate to serve as Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with senior leadership to drive and implement the go to market strategy for the FX250. The Marketing Manager will establish and grow the brand platforms of both Discovery Robotics and the FX250. The candidate will work closely with Sales to establish a conversion funnel designed to attract, educate, nurture, and convert qualified customer prospects.

The Customer Advocate is responsible for driving the lead generation process and initiating the sales process for Discovery Robotics. In this role, the ideal candidate will be proactive, timely, responsible, professional, and friendly in following up with all customer leads and providing useful information that helps them on their sales journeys.

Once leads have been fully qualified and are ready to finalize their purchase, the Customer Advocate will finalize their lead record and help transition the lead to the Diversey Care sales and service teams.

The Discovery Robotics Customer Advocate will have a secondary focus of managing digital tactics for Discovery, including social media management, blog posts, and other web site content. This is because the ideal candidate will be uniquely positioned to represent the voice of the customer through his or her daily work. The candidate can use these insights to create compelling and helpful content that will attract more inbound leads.
